About
A bilingual personal library of books, ideas, and mental models.
This site is not a display of what I have read. It is a personal navigation system for knowledge: using classic books as entry points to understand AI, technology, finance, investment, economics, history, society, business, and ideas.
It rests on three simple judgments. First, read fewer bad books and more classics. Second, follow underlying patterns rather than news cycles. Third, use one book to understand a field and a set of classics to build a cognitive map.
All Chinese and English content is written separately, not machine translated. Bibliographic details are verified, and every summary is original.
Structure
Book → Idea → Topic → Article → Knowledge Map → Personal World Model. You can enter at any layer, or follow it through.
Three principles
Classics first
Only books that explain underlying patterns and remain worth rereading a decade later. Popularity is not a reason to include a book.
Bilingual by design
Chinese and English are two independent content fields, each written naturally, consistent in meaning but not word-for-word.
Built to last
Content is plain text and structured data. It depends on no commercial platform and can be migrated, backed up, and republished at any time.
How it is built
Statically generated, with no runtime dependencies. The site uses files as its database and renders every page at build time, which makes it fast, durable, and easy to move.
- 100 classic books, each with separately written Chinese and English content
- 170 titles imported from third-party reading lists — bibliographic facts only
- 12 categories · 41 topics · 109 tags
- 5 reading paths, ordered by how understanding accumulates
- Statically generated with no runtime dependencies: fast and durable
